The short version
If you join the front row, Burn County Music holds your first name and your email address, and uses them to send you new songs, first listens, release news and show dates from Naylor Stone. That is the entire purpose. Your details are never sold, rented, or handed to anyone else for their own marketing, and one click in any email takes you off the list for good.
Who is responsible
The mailing list is operated by Burn County Music, the record label Naylor Stone records for, at burncounty.com. Burn County Music decides what is collected and why, and is the party to contact about anything on this page.
Write to ty@burncounty.com for any request described below.
What is collected
- What you type into the form. Your first name, if you give one, and your email address. Nothing on this site asks for anything else, and nothing else is stored.
- Standard server records. Like every website, the hosting provider logs requests, which includes IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running. These are not used to build a profile of you.
This site sets no cookies of its own, runs no advertising pixels, and carries no analytics tracker. See the embeds section below for the one exception, which is under your control.
Why it is collected, and on what basis
Your email address is used for one thing: sending you music and news from Naylor Stone. The lawful basis is your consent, which you give by submitting the form, and which you can withdraw at any time. You will not be signed up to anything else as a result, and Burn County Music does not use the list to promote unrelated products.
Who processes it
Submissions are stored in Burn County Music's customer relationship system, which is provided by GoHighLevel and acts as a processor on the label's instructions. Email delivery runs through the same system. No other party receives your details.
How long it is kept
Until you ask for it to go. If you unsubscribe, your address is suppressed so that you are not contacted again. If you ask for deletion, the record is removed. There is no fixed expiry beyond that, because a mailing list for a record that has not come out yet is a list you joined precisely so you would be told when it does.
Your rights
- Unsubscribe. Every email carries an unsubscribe link. It takes one click and needs no explanation.
- Ask what is held. Request a copy of the details on file for you.
- Correct it. Have anything inaccurate fixed.
- Delete it. Have the record erased entirely.
- Object or restrict. Ask that processing stop, or be limited, while a question is resolved.
Requests go to ty@burncounty.com and are answered within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
Embedded players
The site embeds a Spotify player and, when you press play on a video, a YouTube player. Those are third-party services with their own privacy terms, and once loaded they can set their own cookies and see your IP address.
- Videos are not loaded until you press play. Until then a still image sits in their place, so no YouTube request is made at all.
- Video players use youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode.
- Their terms: Spotify privacy policy and Google privacy policy.
Fonts are served by Google Fonts, which receives a request for the font files when the page loads.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and the mailing list is not knowingly used to collect their details. If a parent or guardian believes a child has submitted an address, write to ty@burncounty.com and it will be removed.
Changes to this notice
If what is collected or why it is collected changes, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it. Material changes to how existing subscribers' details are used will be announced by email before they take effect.
